SINTERO acompanha anúncio da Prefeitura sobre valorização da educação municipal | Tudo Rondônia

On Monday, April 7th, the Union of Education Workers of the State of Rondônia (SINTERO) attended an announcement made by Porto Velho’s Mayor, Léo Moraes, concerning initiatives aimed at enhancing the value of public school staff. The union was invited by councilor Ellis Regina, who has been actively involved with the category’s issues.

During his speech, the mayor outlined a series of actions that would directly impact the working conditions and salaries of education professionals. The key points presented included:
• A general salary review of 4.63%, effective June 2025, for all public servants in the municipal administration;

• Implementation of the National Minimum Wage for Teachers starting June 2025, ensuring that base salaries for teachers comply with federal legislation, including a 6.27% increase for 2025;

• Extension of the 6.27% adjustment to educational technicians, aiming to address pay disparities;

• Extension of the incentive allowance for Specific Activities through Complementary Law n° 984/2024 aimed at support staff in education;

• Preparation for a public competition to replenish and strengthen the workforce in the municipal education network, with studies being undertaken to facilitate this process;

• A grant of 10 days of recess for educational technicians, recognizing their efforts during the mid-year school break, without any reduction in their pay.

President Dioneida Castoldi emphasized her request to the mayor: “Education workers must be included and appreciated! This is our stance. We hope that moments of collective construction become regular occurrences, as we play a vital role in the societal framework and contribute to transformation.”

SINTERO confirms that the Extraordinary General Assembly scheduled for April 9th will proceed, with the first call at 3:30 PM and a second call at 4:00 PM.

The union views the announced measures as a result of political dialogue and engagement and will closely monitor their implementation. SINTERO remains committed to advocating for tangible improvements in working conditions and recognition of the education sector.
