Serviços de emergência 190 e 193 são disponibilizados pelo governo de RO através das redes sociais | Tudo Rondônia

A new approach to emergency services via social media enhances accessibility and improves safety for the public

Rondônia has achieved a historic milestone as it becomes the first state in Brazil to allow residents to contact the Emergency Services of the Military Police (190) and the Fire Department (193) through social media. This innovative system is now fully operational, aiming to modernize public assistance and ensure service continuity even in the event of landline failures.

By centralizing calls at major hubs located in Porto Velho and Ji-Paraná, alongside various Fire Department units based on municipal distribution, this initiative strives to enhance the avenues available for citizens to connect with security forces.

Rondônia’s Governor, Marcos Rocha, emphasizes the importance of this initiative in demonstrating the state’s commitment to innovation and public safety. “We are investing in technology to save lives. This new communication method through social networks positions Rondônia at the forefront of emergency services in Brazil. Our goal is to be increasingly present in our community, ensuring rapid responses in any situation,” he stated.

Importantly, citizens can still reach out using the traditional phone lines 190 and 193. In addition to this new service, the public can also use the Cidadão RO app and the website of the Military Police of Rondônia to request emergency services, further broadening their options for connecting with security forces.
