The second edition of the program in Candeias do Jamari provided over 2,000 services across various sectors.
After conducting 2,350 services in Candeias do Jamari on Saturday (3), the state program Rondônia Cidadã will return next weekend to Chupinguaia, located 659 kilometers from Porto Velho, to serve residents of the Novo Plano district and surrounding areas. The event will take place on Saturday (10) from 8 AM to 4 PM and on Sunday (11) from 8 AM to 12 PM at the Cleberson Dias Meireles Germini School, situated on Estrada 105, Linha Kapa 48, near Chupinguaia Avenue.
The Rondônia government, through the Secretary of State for Women, Family, Assistance, and Social Development (Seas) along with partner institutions, will offer health, education, citizenship, and prevention services over the two days. This initiative aims to provide residents who struggle to access services during weekdays in the municipal seat with easier opportunities for assistance.
Services include consultations with physiotherapists, psychologists, issuing the new National Identity Card, Free Transit Pass, second copies of Birth or Marriage Certificates, retirement applications, and opening gov.br accounts, in addition to recreational activities for children.
Governor Marcos Rocha emphasizes the importance of Rondônia Cidadã in providing services to remote and hard-to-reach areas. “This program enhances the efficiency of essential services, such as document issuance, rapid health tests, vaccinations, legal assistance, among others,” he stated.
- Distribution of Mamãe Cheguei Kits
The program in Candeias also included the distribution of Mamãe Cheguei baby kits.
During the second edition in Candeias do Jamari, which was attended by Seas Secretary Luana Rocha, the most sought-after services were those from the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Rondônia (DPE-RO), and issuing second copies of Birth/Marriage Certificates and National Identification Cards.
Along with essential services, twelve Mamãe Cheguei kits containing necessary baby items were also distributed.
“Receiving this kit is fantastic because it includes many items I haven’t been able to purchase yet,” said 22-year-old Liliane Lima, who is already a mother to Ághata Cecília, age 4, and received the kit with her new baby Levi, just 8 days old.
“Our goal is to provide citizenship and dignity to vulnerable individuals. This is the focus of Seas programs, such as Rondônia Cidadã with essential services; Mamãe Cheguei for promoting healthy pregnancies and providing baby kits; Crescendo Bem for child development support and cash transfers for better nutrition; Vencer for free vocational training courses; Meu Sonho for financial assistance towards home ownership; and Prato Fácil for healthy meals, all aimed at families registered in the Single Registry,” mentioned the Seas Secretary while demonstrating the use of ecological diapers included in the baby kits.
