With the goal of connecting the people of Rondônia to the masterpieces of great classical composers from various eras and styles, the Rondônia Music Festival (Rondofest) is proud to launch the Project Sol Nascente on April 21st. This initiative will feature a collective audition in a public plaza, showcasing performances by vocalists, wind players, and string musicians, involving both professionals and music students.
The project is spearheaded by journalist Edson Lustosa, president of the Center for Studies and Research in Law and Justice (CEP-DJ), which is developing the cultural registry initiative aimed at supporting artists in securing, protecting, and managing their rights. The Rondofest serves as a selective phase for this broader effort known as the Registro Cultural.
According to Lustosa, the public launch of Project Sol Nascente will also provide a platform to unite musicians and musical groups who will collaborate on a variety of upcoming programs. Interested parties can reach out via WhatsApp at 69 984732341. To enhance this cultural endeavor, the CEP-DJ is partnering with the Cultural Association Friends of Reading and the Institute for Equitable and Sustainable City Development (Idesc).
