Improvements include lateral cleaning, platform reconfiguring (grading), and replacing bridges with metal tubes.
The Line 90, which connects from BR-429 to the Tancredópolis district in the municipality of Alvorada do Oeste, is undergoing significant upgrades by the Rondônia government. These enhancements are part of the Annual Maintenance Plan executed by the State Department of Roads and Transportation (DER-RO) and cover lateral cleaning, platform reconfiguration (grading), and the replacement of bridges with metal tubes.
Governor Marcos Rocha emphasized that the improvements to Line 90 bolster the region’s infrastructure. “Investments in rural roads are crucial for facilitating production and supporting those who live and work in the countryside. Initiatives like this directly enhance the quality of life for families and contribute to sustainable growth in the state,” he remarked.
According to Eder André Fernandes, the director-general of DER-RO, the work on Line 90 is vital for regional development. “We are making progress with projects that enhance logistics in rural areas. The transition from bridges to metal tubes, for instance, offers a more durable and safe solution for traffic, particularly during the rainy season. This minimizes the risk of isolation and streamlines the transportation of goods,” he stated.
Carlos Leandro, head of the 7th Regional Office of DER-RO in Alvorada do Oeste, noted that the operations are being carried out effectively. “Our team is dedicated to ensuring each phase runs smoothly. We are committed to maintaining safety and quality in the construction, ensuring the structure’s durability over time.”
