With the completion of the course, 106 new sergeants will bolster public security in the state.
The government of Rondônia held the graduation ceremony for the Sergeants Training Course (CFS) 2024-II on Wednesday (April 2) in Cacoal. This initiative, conducted by the Military Police of the State of Rondônia (PMRO), has resulted in 106 new sergeants who will enhance public safety in the state, ensuring quality service for the community.
The ceremony in Cacoal marks the second phase of the graduation process, with the first taking place on April 1 in Porto Velho, where 74 graduates were recognized. The CFS 2024-II began in September, enrolling 181 students, of which 180 successfully completed the program. The training consisted of 910 hours, offered in both in-person and distance-learning formats. The state government allocated an investment of R$ 1,784,721.23 for the training of the new sergeants.
The government has invested over R$ 1 million in the training of the new sergeants.
Governor of Rondônia, Marcos Rocha, highlighted the state administration’s commitment to public safety and the enhancement of the Military Police. “Our government continuously strives to strengthen the Military Police by providing better working conditions and investing in professional development. The training of these new sergeants demonstrates our dedication to ensuring efficient public safety that is ready to meet daily challenges,” he stated.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
The Deputy Commander of the Military Police of Rondônia, Colonel Glauber Souto, emphasized the necessity of ongoing training for police officers. “The continuous qualification of our soldiers is crucial for improving the service provided to society. This training reflects the government’s commitment and the dedication of our officers who strive to enhance their skills for better community service,” he highlighted.
Sergeant Nilzon from Ouro Preto do Oeste expressed his appreciation for the training and its impact on his role. “The course was a significant learning experience for all of us. We leave here more prepared, confident, and ready to serve our community with excellence. I thank the state government and the Military Police for this opportunity for professional growth,” he remarked.
