Municipal representatives, health technicians, and state and municipal authorities gathered in Porto Velho this Friday (date) for the 5th Technical Chamber Meeting and the 5th Ordinary Meeting of the Bipartite Inter-Management Commission (CIB) of 2025. These meetings are part of the strategic calendar of the State Council of Municipal Health Secretaries of Rondônia (COSEMS-RO) and aim to develop policies that enhance the Unified Health System (SUS) in the state.
The discussions covered key issues such as health financial resource management, service network organization, and the implementation of health promotion and disease prevention initiatives. The Technical Chamber focused on analyzing proposals and strategies for municipalities to improve service flows and ensure better resolution of health issues faced by the population.
The Ordinary Meeting of the CIB, a decision-making body for state and municipal managers, also emphasized the need for collaboration between government levels to enhance public health access for the population.
Wagner Wasczuk Borges, president of COSEMS-RO, stated, “Bringing together all stakeholders in public health management is crucial for identifying real challenges and developing collective solutions. These meetings are not merely administrative; they are strategic to ensure that the SUS operates with quality and equity in every municipality within the state.”
The next CIB meeting is scheduled for August, featuring further discussions and decisions on emerging and foundational issues affecting the healthcare system in Rondônia.
