FICCO/RO deflagra operação contra grupo criminoso especializado no furto de grãos em Porto Velho/RO | Tudo Rondônia

A Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime in Rondônia – FICCO/RO launched Operation Piratas do Madeira on Thursday morning (June 26) to dismantle a criminal organization involved in stealing grains from boats moored on the Madeira River in Porto Velho/RO.

Investigations revealed that this group was responsible for the theft of shipments of fertilizers, soy, corn, and other grains from vessels owned by private companies.

The 4th Criminal Court of Porto Velho/RO issued 14 temporary arrest warrants and 16 search and seizure warrants, along with the seizure of assets and the freezing of approximately R$ 126 million from the bank accounts of individuals and companies implicated in the operation.

Law enforcement participated in executing these warrants across Porto Velho/RO, Ariquemes/RO, and Humaitá/AM. Agencies involved included FICCO and others such as the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime of the Public Ministry of Rondônia, the Integrated Task Force against Organized Crime (FTICCO-RO), the State Aviation Management of the Rondônia Secretary of Security, Defense and Citizenship (Sesdec), the State Secretary of Environmental Development of Rondônia (Sedam), and the National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples (Funai).

The individuals investigated may face charges of qualified theft, armed criminal association, and money laundering, along with any other offenses that might arise from the execution of these precautionary measures.

FICCO/RO consists of the Federal Police, Civil Police, Penal Police, Military Police, and the National Secretariat of Penal Policy (SENAPPEN), aimed at joint and integrated action against organized crime in Rondônia.
