Detran-RO opens registrations for specialized driver courses in April

The State Department of Transit (Detran-RO) is now accepting registrations for specialized driver courses this April, available in Porto Velho and Vilhena. Additionally, the free School Transport Monitor Training Course is open to the community in Colorado do Oeste and Machadinho d’Oeste.

Designed for professional drivers, these courses offered by the Public Traffic School (EPTran) extend beyond just legal studies. They cover critical topics such as defensive driving, interpersonal relationships, first aid, environmental awareness, and social coexistence, aligning with the National Traffic Council (Contran) Resolution 789/20. This comprehensive training equips drivers to proactively handle adverse traffic situations and reduce accident risks.

Rondônia’s Governor, Marcos Rocha, reinforces the administration’s commitment to road safety, highlighting that these courses are a tangible manifestation of that goal. “We believe that driver education is a fundamental pillar for establishing a more responsible traffic environment with lower accident rates,” he emphasized.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Detran-RO administrator Sandro Rocha underscores the significance of this initiative, stating that specialized courses are a crucial step in the professional development of drivers. “Graduates become more prepared and aware that road safety is a collective responsibility, making informed choices focused on accident prevention. By investing in traffic education, we are investing in life preservation and creating a safer future for all residents of Rondônia,” he pointed out.

The courses available are:

Training and Update Course for Collective Passenger Transport Drivers;
Emergency Vehicle Driver Training; and
School Transport Monitor Course.

REGISTRATION:

Interested individuals can register at the Regional Traffic Circumscriptions (Ciretrans) offering the courses. In Porto Velho, registrations are accepted at the EPTran building, located at Rua Padre Chiquinho, nº 913, Bairro Pedrinhas.

Porto Velho	Collective Passenger Transport Driver Training	Until 04/26	04/22 to 04/26	– Must be 21 years or older; – Must have at least a Category D driver’s license; – Must not be serving a suspension of driving rights, a revoked National Driver’s License (CNH), or facing legal restrictions regarding driving.
Porto Velho	Collective Passenger Transport Driver Update Course	04/28	04/28 and 04/29	– Must be a specialized driver in Collective Passenger Transport; – Certificate of Training or proof of registration with BCA; – Must have at least a Category D driver’s license; – Must not be serving a suspension of driving rights, have a revoked CNH, or face legal restrictions regarding driving. – Registration fee: R$ 54.27 (for updates).
Vilhena	Emergency Vehicle Driver Training	04/18	04/22 to 04/25 and 05/05 to 05/09	– Must be 21 years or older; – Must have a driver’s license in one of the categories “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” or “E”; – Must not be serving a suspension of driving rights, have a revoked CNH, or face legal restrictions regarding driving. – Registration fee: R$ 217.05 (for training).
Machadinho d’Oeste	School Transport Monitor Training CLASS III	04/17 to 04/23	04/23 to 04/29	– Must be 18 years or older by the final registration date; – Minimum prerequisite: incomplete elementary education; – Free registration.
