“This is a vital space for exercising citizenship,” stated the Secretary-General of the Court of Justice of Rondônia (TJRO), Judge Rinaldo Forti, while introducing the Digital Forum of Candeias do Jamari to the visiting team from the Court of Justice of Pará (TJPA). The visit aims to explore technological and innovative projects this week.
On Wednesday, June 4th, a group of 10 members toured the Central of Electronic Processes of 1st Degree (CPE1G) to assess its potential implementation in Pará. On Thursday, June 5th, the team split up for technical visits to the Digital Forum of Candeias, the IT and Engineering sectors, and the CPE1G of TJRO.
“This court has a lot to share in various areas, particularly in technology, competence, and community engagement. The Digital Forum project reflects the Judiciary’s commitment in Rondônia to the citizens it serves,” noted TJPA Judge Antonieta Maria Ferrari Mileo during the visit.
The Digital Forums are innovative units of the Judiciary in Rondônia that primarily operate online, featuring modern design and architecture. These facilities offer a range of public services to the community, aiming to enhance access to justice, especially in areas without judicial headquarters.
Having won the Innovare Award, often referred to as the “Oscar of Brazilian Justice,” the Digital Forum project has inspired the establishment of digital inclusion points in other states, such as Minas Gerais. Currently, it is being presented to TJPA for potential expansion.
According to Luana Trindade, coordinator of the Digital Forums, Rondônia currently has nine units, located in Candeias do Jamari, Itapuã do Oeste, Cujubim, Alto Paraíso, Monte Negro, Campo Novo de Rondônia, Mirante da Serra, Chupinguaia, and the Extrema district in Porto Velho.
All services, hearings, and procedural actions are conducted digitally and at no cost, utilizing video conferencing, electronic systems, and official virtual support channels, ensuring citizens remain connected to the judiciary.
