Acusado de tentativa de feminicídio em Rondônia é capturado em Rio Branco | ac24horas

Last weekend, José Mourão dos Santos, 28, was arrested during an operation by investigators from the Homicide and Protection of the Person Department (DHPP) in Travessa São Jorge, located in the Ayrton Senna neighborhood of Baixada da Sobral. He had an arrest warrant issued by the 1st Court of the Jury in Porto Velho for attempted femicide and has since been transferred to the District of Extrema, Rondônia (RO).

Mourão is accused of attacking his partner, Jaqueline de Araújo Guimarães, with multiple stab wounds during an argument fueled by alcohol in January of this year. The incident occurred at their home in the District of Vista Alegre do Abunã, leaving the victim with severe injuries, including ruptured muscles in her right arm, resulting in loss of movement in her hand. She was required to undergo surgeries at the Hospital of Urgency and Emergency in Rio Branco (Huerb).

Delegada Daniele Medeiros from the Regional Police Department of Rondônia requested the preventive detention of the suspect. Upon learning that José Mourão had fled to Rio Branco and that the victim was in danger, she sought assistance from the Civil Police of Acre. On Saturday morning, the 26th, DHPP agents located and apprehended the suspect in a neighborhood in Ayrton Senna.
