On Monday (30), the Tribunal de Justiça de Rondônia and the Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS) initiated a significant collaboration aimed at enhancing citizenship in remote areas lacking access to comarca headquarters. The initiative seeks to integrate the INSS into the Digital Forum project, thereby expanding the range of services available at the nine existing units in the state.
The initial discussions for this partnership included Saulo Sampaio Macedo, the executive manager of INSS in Rondônia, and Union lawyer Otniel Laion Rodrigues, along with Rinaldo Forti, the TJRO Secretary-General Judge, Luana Trindade, the Digital Court Coordinator, and staff member David Simioni.
Integrating INSS services into the Digital Forum units marks a significant step forward in providing essential access to justice and social security. “A substantial number of cases in the civil courts of the interior involve previdenciary issues. Therefore, opening this avenue will greatly address the needs of the community,” emphasized Judge Rinaldo Forti.
Saulo Sampaio Macedo also highlighted the value of this collaboration with the Judiciary, stating, “This strategic partnership with TJRO is crucial for the INSS as it enhances our presence in locations where accessing our services is challenging.”
Digital Forum
The TJ de Rondônia’s Digital Forum project, which received national recognition with the Innovare Award, was designed to improve access to justice, particularly for individuals facing digital vulnerabilities. These units are set up in welcoming physical spaces equipped with technology, enabling users to independently and securely access judicial services and those of partner institutions.
This initiative not only enhances the legitimacy and credibility of judicial services but also contributes to the system’s economic efficiency, easing the burden on both the users and public finances by facilitating access without necessitating travel to comarca headquarters.
