Sefin holds workshops on Fiscal Education for children and teenagers
Committed to bringing public services closer to riverside communities, the government of Rondônia is participating in the MP Itinerante project through the State Finance Secretariat (Sefin), with a dedicated team serving residents of the Baixo Madeira region in Porto Velho. This initiative, which began on May 5 and concludes this Friday (9), has reached the localities of São Carlos, Nazaré, and Calama, offering information, guidance, and technical support on key departmental programs. The goal is to promote fiscal citizenship and ensure access to taxpayer rights.
FISCAL EDUCATION
According to Débora Rahal, manager of Sefin’s Fiscal Education sector, these activities play a crucial role in fostering citizenship from a young age. “Bringing public services and information to hard-to-reach areas is essential. We engage with public schools through lectures and activities that help students understand the social function of taxes and the importance of taxes in providing health, education, and safety. Our aim is to demonstrate that public service is a right for all and a responsibility of the state.”
Services offered include:
